Richard Meng
Partner
Richard is the founding member and former CFO of Biyork Canada & US - the North American headquarters of Biyork. He runs functions including Accounting, Finance, HR, IT, and Admin.

During his tenure, Richard sourced and negotiated multiple rounds of financing for Biyork including bank financing, alternative debt financing, and government financing. He also successfully raised multi-million dollar working capital financing, grants and subsidies, and interest-free loans before the company realized any profits. During four years, Biyork North America was able to grow from a seven-digit revenue wholesaler to a nine-digit revenue group of companies.

Before joining Biyork, Richard was an investment banking analyst helping clients with M&A and capital-raising.

Richard graduated from Ivey with an HBA Degree in 2017.
John Qian, CFA, MBA
Partner
Former Assistant Vice President of China Construction Bank, Corporate Banking and Trade Finance.

Weiqiang has about 4-year experience in the Canadian corporate banking industry. Recently he worked for China Construction Bank, as AVP of the Corporate Banking and Trade Finance department. His work focused on originating and closing North American loan deals, including both syndication loans for Canadian investment grade rated companies and club loans for Chinese companies acquiring North American assets. Prior to working for corporate banking, Weiqiang has 4-year of experience in wealth management by servicing high net worth clients in the Montreal area.
Weiqiang is CFA Charter Holder since 2016 and gained an MBA degree from Ivey Business School in 2017.
Agnes Wu, CPA, MMPA
Partner
Agnes Wu, CPA, MMPA, is a seasoned accounting professional with a strong accounting, taxation, auditing, and advisory services background.

Agnes is the Director of Financial Reporting and Analysis at Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts. Previously, as a manager at KPMG's Accounting Advisory Services department, Agnes worked on various deal-based projects such as IPO readiness, carve-out/spin-off, and M&A transactions. Agnes also had extensive bookkeeping, taxation and audit experience, working on public and private companies under IFRS, ASPE, and US GAAP in various industries including consumer market, asset management, REIT, solar energy, wholesale, mining, media, etc.
Agnes is a CPA license holder and graduated from the University of Toronto with a Master's Degree in Management and Professional Accounting.
Edison Yang
Partner
Edison Yang has a wealth of experience in equity and industry fund investment. With a background in law and finance, he has worked in both a law firm and an investment bank and has passed the China National Judicial Examination.
As an investment manager at Qin Tao Capital in Shenzhen, he specializes in investing in the electronic, telecommunications, and new materials industries, drawing on his extensive experience in these fields. His deep understanding of corporate law and financial analysis allows him to make informed investment decisions and maximize returns for his clients.
